This is a pictur os a juvenile olive ridley sea turtle. This turtle got tangled up in a rice bag. He has had this rice bag tangle to its flipper for so long that his little flipper got amputated by the rice bag. Thanks to the people that found this sea turle and help him take of the bag hurting it.
About 40 sea lions lounged on the rocks at the Benjamin Island haulout north of Juneau, and one was injured. A thin, white plastic packing band circled his neck and cut deep into his skin.
Two biologists studied the animal from a skiff 40 yards off the rocks. Lauri Jemison and Jamie King of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game discussed possible ways to free the entangled animal. None seemed very promising.
This sea lion had a plastic band tangled up on his neck. The plastic is cutting has cut its neck so much that its cutting it goes out for a swimm. I wonder how this sea lion is even breatning just because a person who cuoldn't wait to dispose of the garbage properly. I wonder is Jemison and King didn't find this marine mammal probably it wouldn't have his head any more.
